Trainers

Dave Mummery

The major instigator of Primal Moves. Has been a PT for nearly 20 years so has seen all manner of fads and fashions in the fitness industry throughout.

Was a spin/indoor cycling instructor for 14 years and a crewing class instructor for 4.

A ZUU affiliate, Dave has trained in this modality for 7 years. So what is his take on ZUU?

"It challenges you both physically and psychologically, it has made me question myself as well as question what's around you in the training realm as well as in everyday life. It keeps you grounded and humble identifying the why behind the what."

Indeed, our purpose here at 'Primal Moves' is to serve, 'people first, fitness second'.

Stephen Martland-Buck

As a fitness professional Steve dedicates his time to not only 1 on 1 personal training but also a wide variety of fun and challenging group classes including HIIT/circuit, Animal Flow and boxing. His philosophy of fitness is simple.

Move better, move more.

Having grown tired of the increasing pursuit of aesthetic gains and results, Steve instead tries to take a more functional approach to his clients and his own training. Focusing on bodyweight exercises and movement patterns, he aims to get people’s bodies moving the way they are supposed to, in contrast to the often static and sedentary lifestyle habits many of us have.

“I want people to see the whole world as their playground and possess the physical ability to navigate that playground feeling strong, confident and able in their daily life. If the body is happy, the mind can only follow suit.”
